当道場について
館長は、河野百錬先生（２０代宗家）の直門の影山断士先生より指導を受け、全日本居合道連盟において範士八段、その後、日本居合道連盟に移り、清水無双直伝英信流宗家より免許皆伝を授与され、平成１６年には日本居合道連盟より九段を允可されております。
所属団体については、別項でも述べておりますが、古武道本来の姿に戻り、道場単位の居合を目指していますので、現在はいずれの団体にも所属しておりません。
また、試斬を定期的に稽古に取り入れております。
ABOUT THIS DOJO
Yoshioka sensei, the director of our school, built the dojo attached to his home in 1981. In 2011 our school celebrated its 30th anniversary. The dojo is located in a residential area and is a 10 minute walk from the Kintetsu Gakuenmae station. Yoshioka sensei received instruction from the 20th Soke, Kono Hyakuren sensei. Yoshioka sensei received HANSHI 8th DAN from the All Japan Iaido Federation in Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu. In 2004 Yoshioka sensei was granted 9th DAN and MENKYO-KAIDEN in the Japan Iaido Federation. We are no longer a part of any organization is that this is traditionally how a school was organized. The students learned and held loyalty to the school and their teacher rather than to an international or national organization.
所属団体
現在、当道場は、いずれの団体にも所属しておりません。
本来、古武道とは、自分で道場を選び、自分が師と仰ぐ人の教えを忠実に守り、やがては、師を超えることを目指して、自らが日々研鑽するものです。
つまり、道場単位のものです。
段位・称号についても、直接、指導を受けている師から授与されるのが、本来のあるべき姿であると思料します。
居合は真剣を使用しますので、斬り合うことはできません。
したがって、各団体では、試合と称して「居合の型」の優劣を競ったりします。
居合はスポーツではなく、古武道だということを考えると、何か違和感を感じます。
昇段審査についても、通常、年一回行われる昇段審査会での「居合の型」の良し悪しで、合否が決まります。
なお、審査員は、団体に加盟のいろんな流派から選出するのが通常です。
したがって、自流とは異なる流派の審査員も混じって審査されることになりますので、これも違和感があります。
それから、試斬を禁止している団体もありますが、本当に斬れる居合を目指すためには、「型」だけでなく試斬を併用していくことが不可欠であると考えます。
以上の観点から、当道場は、いずれの団体にも所属せず、独自路線を歩んでおります。
AFFILIATION
As is discussed above we are currently not a part of any organization. Essentially a martial school was passed from teacher to student and not through an organization. We believe it is better to receive your title or dan directly from your teacher who has supervised your training. Iaido is for the serious study of the sword and not for competition which can lead iaido into becoming a game, iaido is not a sport. Permission for testing before a committee once a year who determine pass or fail can lead to problems. There is no sense of congruity as the judge’s change from year to year. Also an organization may prohibit test cutting and we feel that this is a vital part in understanding the correct study of the sword. Learning and testing blade angle and unity of body, hips and sword. Since our dojo does not belong to an organization we are a bit of a maverick.
