A direct flight from Osaka international airport to Noumea started in spring
2000. It took about 8 and half hours. We left Japan at noon and arrived
there at 22pm. It was cool outside the plane. I worried that it was too
cool to swim.
It's took about an hour from Tontouta international airport to Anse Vata
by bus. Our bus driver had a race with another bus driver to the hotel.
We got to hotel at 23pm. The Club Med's staff excitingly welcomed our arrival,
but we were so sleepy to be merry.
Our
room was on the 7th floor and the continental room had a very good location
because it was close to the sea. At night we could see plenty of stars
through the windows. We could see also the Scorpion above the Southern
Cross.
We felt happy when we woke up! We could see the bout pier from our room.
The wind was good. So I tried to windsurf on the first day.
The kind staffs gave us lessons, half an hour on the beach, another half
an hour with the pair and the last half an hour I could stand on the board.
Fortunately, we could have lesson in Japanese. There were many Japanese
guests, so Japanese staff were many too.
On the second day, I enjoy to windsurf about two hours. But I could not
go back to the beach by myself. The staff took me to the beach. He was
upset and said something in English which I could understand half of it.
He told to me "If you want help, you sit on the board and wave your
hands." At that time I tried to swim by myself, he said it was impossible.
Ahhh!
On the last day, we rode hobby cat. The staff who drove the boat was the
man who helped me. He said he had been in Club med Sahoro in Japan.
There were a lot of activities at Club Med. I felt sorry, that I did not
try a circus and wall climbing. We played tennis many hours. Because it
was cool.
My daughter played a circus show. She had hard lesson in kids club. And
she tried to play an trapeze act. My son only watched.
At the pool it was a little bit too cold to have water aerobics lesson.
Many people were laying on the beach or side of the pool to get tan.
We walked to the Colline Ouen Toro for half an hour. Many Australian were
jogging. There was a famous battery.
We went to Noumea by petit train. Place des Cocotiers is very beautiful.
We also went to the Marche. Many kind of fish fruits and vegetables were
there, there were unusual for me.
The driver of petit train waved to everyone. An Australian tourist was
very cheerful. We enjoyed the night show with them every day.
