This is okonomiyaki, Japanese pizza. It is
very popular in Japan. We need thinly sliced
pork and squid, cabbage and chopped up green
onion. Cut pork into 3-inch pieces, slice
squid into thin strips, chop cabbage and
green onion coarsely.
Combine 3 oz.flour,1/5 cup water, a little
grated mountain yam, a beaten egg and a little
salt in a bowl. Add squid, cabbage,green
onion and mix well. First sauté pork
briefly and put it into the bowl and mix
them. Put it on a heated iron plate. After
a suitable time, turn it over. When we eat
it, we brush it with sauce and sprinkle it
with bonito powder and green-seaweed flakes.
We can top it with mayonnaise according to
our preference.
