Momo's Story (1)

Once upon a time ....

I was a stray cat, I had no name, and I don't know who threw me aside. All I remember is that I had a mother. I still miss her milk!

I was dead lucky, however, since I came across a kind family, that is, a family of humans. I was almost dead unless I met them.

First the Mother (that is, Human mother) noticed me, and gave me some food, which I could barely eat. Then the younger daughter who is very fond of animals came; they seemed to want to adopt me, but the Father was definitely against the idea, since he did't like a cat, and the family already had a dog.

However, you see, among humans, especially among Japanese, males have little power when it comes to household matter. So the Mother decided by herself to adopt me, in a few days, and two daughters applauded; I suppose I was too cute, though too skinny, and looked helpless. And, as it turned out, the Father was basically a kind man, though many students are afraid of him; oh, I must add, he seems to be a professor of an ugly university where many members of my species can live relatively happily, though at some corner, some members were used for atrocious experiments.

That's how I became a member of this family, the Uchii family. They named me "Momo". Even the dog (his name is "Puppy", though too old for that name) accepted me immediately.
